Reviews
""Being an elementary teacher, your book brought so much happiness to my heart. I'm eager to share it with kids! I love the Italian words you taught us and they were so appropriate for the conversation! Ricky's tongue hanging out running up the stairs of the bell tower made me giggle! The message you sent to children is to follow through with a plan for safety. The costumes are so elegant that I wish I could touch them!"

"The Pug Adventures: Ricky and Poe Travel to Italy by Christina Wood is a delightful read. The characters are charming and the author successfully highlights the endearing relationship between the two pug brothers. The storytelling is fun and lighthearted but also very educational. I thought it was an ingenious idea to incorporate information about Italian culture and geography in the story line as a learning tool for children. After reading this book, I'm anxious to see where Ricky and Poe's next adventure takes them."

Ricky and Poe Travel to Italy is a great story packed with fun and information!
What a fun story! The Pug Adventures is a brilliant blending of 3 subjects that are great on their own-dogs, travel and safety. The pugs are delightful, demonstrating a loving, caring relationship. Their vacation in Italy informs us of the history and foods of Venice and Florence, teaching us some Italian words along the way. The small but important conversation the brothers have about what to do if they get separated serves as a tool to use in a similar situation, and because of that, also serves to ease the fear associated with separation and feeling lost. The illustrations are rich and vibrant. I’m looking forward to Rick and Poe’s next adventure. Where will they take us next?
